This is not exclusive to Sacramento, but I’ve noticed some humorous sign modifications — intentional or not — while cruising around.
Blown-out letters on signs always make for fun reading:
FORBID TY (FORBIDDEN CITY)
ROU LE PIZZA (ROUND TABLE PIZZA)
COMP WAR HO (COMPUTER WAREHOUSE)
Local hellions have defaced some street signs near the Eats/RG home too:
STUPPI now has a “D” for “STUPPID”
and
DEVON has been whited out to read “DEVO”
Over in East Sac, a while back someone spray painted on the railroad underpass near Elvas Ave: ELVAS LIVES!
OK, so this post won’t be considered for Sunday’s Forum section of the paper, but have you seen any good signs recently?

The Computer Warehouse also once read “The Computer War House” which I thought sounded like a lot more fun than some warehouse.

That reminds me of another movie theater sign. While no letters were missing, the sign for Century (Arden & Ethan) recently said, “NANCY DREW KNOCKED UP”
