You’ll each be glad to know that The Sac Rag was represented well at this past Sunday’s Streets of London Pub Quiz.
With the mental power of sac-eats, Stickie, and RunnerGirl — plus two of Stickie’s most attractive and charming friends — we answered the most questions correctly and brought home the top prize (and the ever-important bragging rights.) We scored 28 out of 30.
As usual, drunken haters questioned our tactics, rudely insinuating that there’s no way anyone would be able to do so well honestly. Two women (they were hardly “ladies”) pointed to what they called my “laptop,” which is really a pleather padfolio that holds a standard pad of lined paper and a pen. I held it up, unzipped it, took out the pad of blank paper and flipped through it so they could see it was blank, and asked, “What..THIS?!?” They were astounded by my David Blaine-like ability to transform a computer into an ordinary office product so deftly.
The week prior, sac-eats and RunnerGirl teamed up with Sacramento Comedy Spot players and tied for first with 29 out of 30 points. What’s the common denominator? If you can’t figure it out, you can’t be part of our winning team. I know the DMZ clan has also taken the top prize, so the world betta look out once he’s back from paternity leave and we join forces.

Does anyone ever go to the Folsom SOL pub quiz? If so, is it similar? Is it worth going to on a Tuesday? Inquiring minds want to know.

It was a pleasure being on the same team as you guys (the Dream Team of pub quizes). I must admit though, I kind of felt like Tyronn Lue, BJ Armstrong or Steve Kerr. Kind of just along for the ride, right place at the right time.

You do yourself a disservice, Raddogg. You were much more the Mark Madsen or Dennis Rodman, hitting the boards, doing the dirty work and eventually cross-dressing.
