Wow, so he got as much time as the professional gambler/mobster who he conspired with, who only pled guilty after they turned Donaghy. And other things I directly quoted from ESPN.

Donaghy was sentenced today to 15 months in prison. He could have received up to 33 months, but was given leniency because he cooperated with investigators.

This has been going on for years. Ralph Nader even has been calling foul for some time. Professional sports has been rigged even before the tv or radio. Refs to reading lips, everyone cheats, lies, and gets away with it. Buy a Coke and forget about it.

I have no idea if Donaghy’s allegations have any validity to them or not, but I chuckled sadly at David Stern’s response, which was basically to allege Donaghy is making stuff up to get a lighter sentence. Isn’t that what mob bosses say when an underling turns state’s evidence on them?

Ooh..AquaciseMom (mother of RunnerGirl) would *not* be happy. Sac-eats is not kidding.
