Turty, I loves me some third party (and fourth party, fifth party) candidates. The election is more than a year away, so the grassroots candidates are still strengthening their roots. Once they bloom and show their…er..blades, I’ll be writing about them.

Oh yeah! Sounds like we will finally get someone who can get stuff done! Oh- wait- this only talks about political insiders moving up the ladder. No mention of anyone new with good ideas and people skills, facing the hardship of trying to bust the lock the 2 political parties have on the system? No mention of a grass roots effort to rid the Ninth Assembly District of the “same old same old” we’ve had for decades? Not even a write in campaign mention? Forshame Sacrag… forshame.

Thanks, Sabrina. I remember McCarty announcing something, but wasn’t quite sure if it was a formal declaration of candidacy or if he was still preparing to do so.

I think Kevin McCarty already declared he was running back in December, press conference and everything. I think it just did not get much coverage due to the holidays and such.
