SacTicket.com offers up 9 places to visit tonight to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. The Mikuni one was pretty good:
OK, so Mikuni isn’t really doing anything big for St. Patrick’s Day (hello, it’s a sushi place), but we thought the one thing they are doing was so cute, it deserved a mention. Apparently, people are always thinking it is an Irish pub when they hear the name out of context, so the folks at Mikuni have made up T-shirts that spell the name as if it were a Celtic watering hole, selling a McCooney’s tee for $20; the staff will be sporting them today.
If I were to enjoy this sort of tomfoolery, I’d be stopping by the Bonn Lair. I have reason to believe that the corned beef and cabbage will be second to none.

Great, another amateur night at the local pubs. I would enjoy these events so much more if I was into date rape (or being date raped).
Today always reminds me that Sacramento doesn’t have a single Irish pub. Damn shameful.
Brew It Up is having a big party, but where the hell will they fit everyone? It is the absolute worst design in the the world for a pub, what were they thinking?
I am wearing a green shirt today for one reason; I am protecting the life of the person who would ask, “Where’s your green. It is St Patrick’s Day Don’t-Cha-Know?” That person would have their throat ripped out as I scream “Your fucking thyroid gland is green, how about I pin it to my fucking shirt!”
I’m going to go grab a quick one at the Fox and Goose before things get ugly there.

Hey, Mr. Stickie, howsa’bout using one of those fun acronyms like Ms. Maya did earlier next time?
“much more if I was into DR (or being DR’d)”
It works on so many levels, you know?
Then we can all spend time trying to figure out what it means?
SRO = Standing Room Only. See how much fun that was?
