Let’s hear from the people–where was the place to be on New Years’ Eve 2005? In my house, the place to be was the couch, where the main attraction was a good chunk of “Arrested Development” Season 2. I’m aware that there may have been other things going on outside my house, but did any of the town’s hottest parties have spicy club sauce? Well, probably.

  1. Sorry Cool- No trolling for hip party locations here. You will have to find next year’s hotspot through your own personal connections.

  2. Having spent a New Year’s Eve or two or three on the CoolDMZ family couch I can vouch for its funness. That was a wise choice!

  3. Good call on ringing in the new year with Arrested Development. For those of you who have not seen this show, do yourself a favor and rent seasons 1 and 2 on DVD, then catch the season 3 reruns on Fox. FYI, GOB in real life does all kinds of VO work for commercials. You may have heard him on that disgusting Lamisil commercial where the cartoon bacteria make a home under some poor soul’s toenail.

For our 2005-2006 transition, we hit the Fox & Goose for some entertainment by the region’s finest musical talent, most notably the fun party band quartet Champagne and singer / songwriter Justin Farren. The crowd grew progressively more Emo after midnight, so we hightailed it back to my pad to catch up on our Tivo’ed Jeopardy! episodes.
