Free parking!

The City of Sacramento will be continuing its popular free parking program this year starting with Black Friday. Metered parking is free after 4:30 p.m. weekdays and all day on Saturdays and Sundays from Friday, November 26, through Friday, December 24. There is also free parking at the East End Garage for the first 90 minutes and $1 per hour thereafter, up to a maximum of $5. Free parking at East End is weeknights 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. and all day on weekends.

The metered parking is bounded by L and I Streets and Front St. and 29th.

  1. Yeah, but 1) no one will be there anyway (unless they are either left over from a bar, or going to buy a lampshade in downtown Sac [sign me up!]), and 2) the City photags your plates and posts your car’s where’bouts on http://www.what‘smysantabuyingme.commie for your kids to find. Nothing is really free after all.

  2. There is one thing I hate more than parking meters and that is a LARC. I am not talking about the army amphibious vehicle, the acronym of Lighter Amphibious Resupply Cargo, but the motorized wheelchair you see heavy people float around on because walking has become such an inconvenience. When I see one, it makes me want to join a Jihad.

  3. TS I’m going to flip your insanity around and turn it into a cute fun kids movie. A bunch of hacker kids hatch an elaborate surveillance scheme to determine what they are getting for Christmas. How ’bout it, Pixar.
