Hitt leaves CBS 13

More questions than answers.
Given that this short post about Julie Durda is still our most viewed post (really?), I thought I’d share the status of another local departure from the Sacramento Business Journal (from November 30, 2011).

Brandi Hitt, an anchor at KOVR-TV Channel 13, has not renewed her contract with CBS 13. Her last day with the station was Friday.

While I am sharing old news, Rick Kushman has left the Sacramento Bee.

  1. Oh my god I can’t believe Brandi Hitt left KOVR 13. Brandi Hitt was such a great whatever she was.

    p.s. Who is Brandi Hitt?

  2. A quick review of google images (safe search on!) for Julie Durda and Brandi Hitt leads me to a hypothosis that this post will not have a similar response. There are no pictures of Brandi in a bikini on the first page.

  3. I think that’s a good thing. Having a four year-old post topping the list is not really something we want to hang our hat on anyway.

Thanks for the follow-up, saconomics. Or, as they say at work, the FU.

  4. Was too good looking for the Sacramento market, glad things are back to normal around here again.

I liked how Brandi’s “World and National” desk, would later in the same newscast become Curtis Ming’s “Investigative Desk”.

Maybe Brandi just went to another station that would spend the $500 to give her a desk she could call her own.

  5. I never got around to mentioning how much enjoyment I get out of something as simple as calling the desk the “World and International Desk” when it is literally just a desk. When the network has a “World and International Desk” they actually mean a whole department metaphorically represented by the chief person’s desk, right?

The fact that the desk does double duty is even more delicious.
