I wrote a year ago about the new Shins album and their Sacramento connection — Omnibus records and current Mt. St. Mtn. co-founder Mark Kaiser. Well, that’s probably their coolest Sacramento connection, but as of this weekend it is definitely not their most domestic-abusingest connection.

Stay with me here: The celeb blog world brings us the news that one-time America’s Next Top Model hopeful Elyse Sewell was involved in a domestic dispute with keysman and bassist Marty Crandall of the Shins in a Sacramento hotel. (Did I just coin “keysman”?) The news came from Elyse’s own blog, where she posted photos of her injuries. Both marginal celebrities were arrested by Sac Sheriff’s deputies, and Crandall was booked into County until yesterday.
