Via zokuga, two photo blogs to check out for images from Beijing–Paul Kitagaki’s images on the Sac Bee photo blog, and former Bee photog Kevin German’s photoblog “Wandering Light.” German lives in Vietnam and does kickass photo documentaries of Southeast Asia, as I learned in the last five minutes. Here is my favorite of his so far:

I snapped this shot of the Raley Field crowd standing at attention for free hot dogs the other night, and then realized it would make a good Cooky Kaption Kontest. Who knows what is lurking up there in the press box. Have at it.

(P.S. I want to make an “I’M A JJ FUR MANIAC” shirt, even if FFT and his brother and me are the only ones who might wear it.)

RonTopofIt alerted me to this screen grab of a CBS 13 video accompanying a story about lovable loser Ron Artest, and I can’t believe I didn’t get this contest entry kicked off immediately. Ladies and gentlemen, Ron Artest:

Kevin Riggs, KCRA news weekend anchor (left) resembles John Kerry (right) quite a bit. Has anyone else noticed this? Discuss. Or talk about college basketball. Whatever.

Well folks, the Cool family could not make it to Big Fun this year so we’ll have to settle for checking out the state exhibits on Flickr. I didn’t necessarily look at every photo tagged “californiastatefair,” but I looked at every page of photos, and for some reason this one catches my eye the most.
