The headline of this story on CBS/UPN about the pending execution of Clarence Ray Allen, the oldest inmate on death row, is worth pointing out:

If the attorney general continues this trend, this does not bode well for the next-oldest inmate, especially if he’s only in jail for a night after getting a little too tipsy and punching his brother-in-law at a Christmas party. Execute the sum’bitch! is apparently what Bill Lockyer would say.

I agree – what a horrific policy. One less problematic might be: “Sassiest inmate should be executed.”

I agree that the policy sucks, but:
I can’t help but to wonder who he put the hits on from jail….he may have been doing us all a favor. The mullet, choker, headband combo? We should have put him out of his misery the year that photo was taken.

The only thing Clarence is a victim of is his choice in styles…. but as a recent victim of a 459 “auto burglary” – if you do the crime, you need to do the time. Unfortunately while he was taking time to pick out his leather head gear, he should have been reading up on the laws of our fair state and made a better choice. I say snuff him.
