Spinning out of control

No, not the allegations of word speculation. I’m talking about the fact that the Rag has become the place to go to bitch about KOVR’s lack of Paul Joncich and Jennifer Whitney. As evidenced by the most recent comment on my post from December, I believe it has erroneously come to be believed that The Sac Rag is the Web site of KOVR. If you haven’t been following that comment thread, it’s worth a read, especially in how it slowly evolves into the sentiment expressed by the comment from this morning, which seems to be either addressing KOVR management using the “open letter” format or as actual viewer feedback aimed at the wrong comments box. I agree with Amber what good News about Julie I am so Pleased to see her growing and doing new things and how much she has done in her life , Julie never listen to the losers that talk crap about you , just keep on showing them what asses they are by just moving on up , and making it out there, you go girl we are all proud of you here at NEWS 10 .

  6. I used to work with Julie In Sacramento. At a little mexican cocina. My impression is far different than the comments being left here. I am happy to have had the opportunity to know her the way I did. she has enriched my life through her generosity, and her sincerity. I’ve come to know this by getting to know her as a person. not as an object. I used to watch her try to work only to be stopped damn near every ten feet by some jack ass who thinks he is gods gift to the world. Trying to pick up on he. or let her know what he would like to do to her. I used to see her get frustrated. but she allways smiled and handled it with a degree of tact, and class. I don’t know how hard that is. To be instantly catagoriized by people, and have people judge you on how you are living up to their expectations. and if you don’t fit the box that they have sorted you in. a resentment builds and as a result of thier inferiority they scrutinize you. Without hesitation jump at any opportunity they see to belittle you and get others on their side. it sucks that homie got his heart broken. I can sympathize. but that isn’t any reason to dislike someone. or pick them apart. Cause I am pretty sure had he been the right guy they’d still be together.

    I wish Julie the best. I hope that she accomplishes everything that she strives for. She has been a genuine individual. and someone (whom I’ve observed) who takes time out to make sure others are happy. I could not be in the same room with her and feel like the day wasn’t a bit brighter. She is a beautiful woman whose charisma only enhances her features. By no means is she perfect. I do see other people’s points as we are all good at being able to spot and exploit one anothers defects of character. as so many have done here. I challenge any of those individuals to get to know her for themselves. HER! not try to get her to fit that box they have so valiantly decorated. but get to know her for who she is and accept her and her flaws. I am sure they will know a beautiful woman.

  8. flippin thru the tube at sunrise watchin all the gals on the phx morning shows. julie is the hottest of all the anchors/personalities, morning or night. her education is the last thing i am worried about. local news is what happened on last nights reality shows, atleast here is phx. i’ll watch cnn, etc…. for news. i’ll watch the local news to please my eyes, julie is a cutie.

Julie has been working here in Phoenix for the last year,she just left to go to Miami,she was real nice to look at and had that “I don`t know what I`m talking about” look sometimes but here in Phoenix,everyone does too.Good for her,…please folks,check your report cards from grade school,I know some of you failed grammar classes.I`d be checking into some night classes if I wrote the way some of you do…..

  16. Angie, I guess you haven’t learned from past remarks, but your grammar is horrible! Use punctuation (commas, periods etc.) You only make Julie look worse, cause it seems like the only people who like her are just as dumb! I am tired of reading people’s comments that just sound ridiculous! Please proof your comments and make your statement more credible by using the correct English language! Please do us all a favor by not replying again cause everything that comes out of your mouth makes no sense. Also I don’t think people are suprised that Julie is doing bigger and better things. It happens all the time. As long as you are pretty, you can pretty much do anything. So just because Julie has moved up doesn’t make her good at what she does or even smart. She looks pretty on TV and that is what matters. I don’t think she does a horrible job, like a lot of people do, but I don’t think she is good either. She is just okay. I have seen way better. It is obvious that her looks have helped her along the way, bottom line!

  19. I don’t really care for Julie Durda myself. She is a pretty girl, but she’s always flubbing the weather, I have now stopped watching WSVN all together. I like news casters to sound like they know what they are talking about, I THINK AS A NEWS CASTER ITS YOUR JOB TO READ AND PRONOUNCE ALL THE CITIES CORRECTLY (In your state or not). I wish Elita would of never left. Elita was smart, beautiful, and did a wonderful job. She was a tough act to follow, especially when someone like Judy takes over.

    Miami’s WSVN starts their morning news on the hour and half-hour with weather, and though your cast-off seems a lil’ too cute, on air she’s doing ok now. It seems her online weather-degree () is getting bolstered with experience. A good indicator will be how she fares during the next hurricane, when the seashells hit the fan.

    Happy to see she is doing well in Miami. She most be doing something right to get noticed. She was in line with about 30 other women for most beautiful weather person in THE WORLD.

  22. I am in Miami and Julie Durda is cute, but absolutely the worst weather person in history. She still says every Friday morning at 5:00am that “we have made it through the work week”. Duh, how about Friday? I asked her if we have made it through the weekend at Sunday morning at 5:00am and and said yes. WSVN Miami is embarrising themselves by keeping her. They put her in the field during Tropical Storm Fay and she could not figure out what to say when they went live to her.
