Weekend Observation

Arby's Roast Beef is Yummy?

I had occasion to drive by the same Arby’s on Walnut and Marconi yesterday no fewer than 3 times. As you can tell from the blurry photo the parking lot was empty…every time! I’ve sort of paid attention to this observation recently and I’ve found that yesterday was no anomaly. So I ask, who eats at Arby’s?

I know the Simpsons have taken several shots at the restaurant over the years. I used to frequent a RAX roast beef restaurant in Arizona, but they seem to have moved east.

  1. The SinghCities have been known to partake of the Arby’s on frequent occasion – when we can find one and we’re hungry. Can’t beat 5 sammiches for $5.

We used to frequent a RAX too, up in Washington state, before it closed.

  2. Without snarkiness nor snarktitude, I can say that I’m a huge fan of their “Market Fresh” sndwiches. The turkey and chicken salad are especially good. And, after a quick review of the nutritional values, you’ll wonder how they can fit all of those calories into a simple sandwich.

  3. RTOI, why did you have to say “Arby’s”?? Now all I can think of is eating Arby’s. I guess that solves the mystery.

  4. That’s my point, I think. Well, if I had one, that’d be it. That people don’t necessarily have a problem with Arby’s, they just never go. Or at least when I drive by their stores. I remember liking their sandwiches and sauce.

Ok, done, tonight we go to Arby’s.

  5. I’m with sac-eats. The Market Fresh are the only way to go. Fat sammy, good fries, and a soda. You’re forkin’ out $8 for the meal deal, but it’s well worth it. And the Arby’s sauce….great for dippin’. Hits the spot especially after a big night of drinking, I’ve heard.

  6. Because of your endorsements, Sacramento, I visited my local Arby’s last night on Walnut & Marconi. Here are two photos that tell a short story:

Outside bathrooms (key on a HUGE cooking spoon) and no sauce to be found (have to ask for packets behind the counter). We were the only folks in the place, too. And this is Trump’s favorite restaurant?
