Approaching Graswich critical mass

When longtime Bee columnist R.E. Graswich left his post, you assume it was for greener pastures. And now I realize it was for a greener pasture, a verdant meadow, and a lilac-filled prarie as well… First it was Sac Mag, and SacMag.com, and then more recently it was The Scoop on CBS13. And then on Friday afternoon I heard him doing the afternoon news on KFBK with Kitty O’Neal. Will you soon be able to order up Graswich in any fashion that suits you? A Graswich flavor at Vic’s perhaps? A Graswich roll at Kru? Graswich On Demand?

Maybe R.E. can comment here about what would be in his scoop at Vic’s…

  1. A future project will see R.E. Graswich as R.E. Graswich in “Graswich,” the R.E. Graswich story, featuring R.E. Graswich.

  2. The last I heard, RT was going to designate one light rail car each week as the “R.E. Car”, and R.E. would ride along in it during the am commute to answer questions, sign autographs, and pose for photos. La Bou is supposed to sponsor the ride each week with free coffee, croisants. A big magnetic “R.E. Head” wil be applied to both sides of the car, so if you see his head rounding the corner, jump on, grab a cup ‘o joe and hang with R.E, sponsored by La Bou and KFBK.

  3. Now that I think of it, would it be possible to see the “R.E. Car” going down the tracks from the KCRA helo, or even better, Google Earth? The magnetic sign image of R.E.’s head going from station to station? The possibilities….

  4. He took over for KFBK’s afternoon drive shift with Kitty O’Neal when Jay Alan left to be the Communications Director for the California Conservation Corps. The first few weeks were sometimes a little rough with getting the timing down with his co-host, but he seems to have settled in quite nicely. I do enjoy that the newscasters, R.E. and predecessor Jay included, let their personalities come through in the broadcasts. Both personalities have worked well with the ever-charming Kitty, too.

  5. Sac-eats and scupper got the scoop on R.E. Graswich. I’m surprised R.E. Graswich doesn’t know about this blog. R.E. Graswich could have gotten the scoop on himself.
