Sorry for the downer post on your Monday morning, but I think we need to talk about how the most despiccable crime ever happened over the weekend. It is now being reported on by Fox News, so we’re going to be in the national news for the wrong reasons yet again. I think I speak for many when I say I hope anybody who could assist the sheriff in finding these monsters will speak up.
My heart goes out to the family of Sean and his baby, and also to the detectives who are investigating this, who must be in hell right now. The witnesses, who were apparently the victims of a home invasion robbery, are reportedly coming off as sketchy and that is disturbing.

Take it from an old cop! The witnessess (victims) are afraid to talk, but sooner or later, something will break and then the SO or PD will find these no good bastards!

Horrifying! It’s hard to believe there was not any illegal activity going on…or that it wasn’t gang related. It makes me sick.
Then in Antelope we have the 29 yr old woman who surprised two burglars and one sexually assaults her. Geez.

This is truly sickening. There is also the story in today’s paper about the young man who was shot outside a barber shop yesterday. He was entering his junior year at Cal on a full scholarship.

it hasn’t been determined as of tonight…no one is talking due to the “urban code of silence” for lack of a more clever term for the dumbest thing i can think of in a crime this evil. there are also many other things that don’t make sense in this case so far.

If you can’t handle the snark, maybe you shouldn’t be posting stories like this on a site purportedly dedicated to “Sacramento News, Gossip and Snark since 2005.” Lets have another “oh- the light rail is such a groovy experiance” story. Or maybe another lighthearted discussion about “the best taco in town.”

I knew Sean. I’d like to vote that we all stop trying to decide what is/isn’t inappropriate. The whole story is vile and probably shouldn’t have been up for discussion here in the first place. No disrespect intended to anyone.

Plumwin: their funeral was today..(20th) at 10 am. Did you go? Looks like you posted closely thereafter. Also looks like the two men who were not hurt/killed in the “home invasion” are now under criminal scrutiny. My husband and I both think it is strange that poor Sean, and his son, were the only two killed in the “home invasion”.
Bless them both. So sad for all who knew them well, and for those of us who just hear about it. Still makes me sick.
I am happy to know that we live in a free society..and we can discuss whatever we like.
