The nominations for the 2008 Sammies readers’ choice are up at SNR. Just looking at the list of great local bands really makes you dig our local scene dunnit?

    I am surprised they don’t have an entire category for Jerry Perry.

  3. Agreed. All nominees are top notch. I heard from the SN&R that the Blues/Jazz etc. nominees will be more of a critics choice kind of thing – but will be announced soon.

  4. I’m pretty sure that this is the second or third year in a row with no Blues and Jazz nominees. I guess they got tired of listening to Jackie Greene.
