Cruiser Chick(s) revealed!

Posted October 28, 2005 at 5:02 PM by RonTopofIt in Cycling (4 comments)

Much the same way the now infamous photo of Sasquatch was engrained in our minds as youngsters, I couldn’t believe my eyes this afternoon when I came across a gaggle of cruiser chicks on Alhambra. As promised, I quickly reached for my low resolution camera phone to capture this moment for eternity. As you can imagine this illusion departed as fast as it arrived. But not before my Sprint LG went to work thus pulling back the curtain on one of the most puzzling mysteries in Sacramento history. Cruiser chick, I’ve outted you!

Oh, Man, and I bet they were blowing through stop signs, riding on the sidewalk and generally acting like thugs. You were fortunate to get out of there without a beating after whipping out your camera phone. Now maybe you understand why these gangster bicycle riding youth in East Sac are a pet peeve of mine. And, btw, I loved the Bigfoot reference. Nice cross reference on unexplained phenomena.

Caught a new breed of cruiser chicks today…Cruiser Chick 2.0! They are older, hipper, and have better bikes. Outfitted with oversized sunglasses and a cell phone they make their way through down and mid town Sacramento. Late to their mani/pedi no doubt.
