Here’s an e-mail request you don’t see too often — this went to all volunteers on the Sacramento SPCA mailing list:

A woman called who is putting on a production of Annie. They would like to have two dogs (double casting) that weigh between 50-70 pounds and are a “Sandy” color (as this is the name of the dog!), but breed/mix doesn’t matter.

There will be 8 shows held at the end of November. There will be 3-4 dress rehearsals, and the show is 2 hours long.

The dogs need to be able to do the following:

Act I
Dog will go to the person who calls it by the name “Sandy
Dogs sit/stay on stage while Annie sings a song to the dog

End of Act I
Goes across stage
Wears a bow without trying to take it off while being walked on leash

End of Show
Comes out for final applause — walked out on a leash (no bow needed)
