Though commentary at Heckasac lately (at least that small percentage of it that concerns itself with The Sac Rag) has been coming down strongly against the Snark, I hope the Sacblogging community can read between the lines and see that this interesting discussion developing there about Mason’s and Sacbee restaurant review suckiness is tangentially related to my comments about Sac being all about getting the newest trendiest thing and turning its back on the old and cherishable.

Couldn’t the Mason’s complex be considered “classic in the making” instead of “new and trendy”?
This multi-venue restaurant block caters to our city’s dining and drinking needs … and not a one of them is a chain. Isn’t that something? Not that non-chains automatically get kudos – but each of these restaurants caters to a different taste and, so far, offers pretty decent fare.
A city is made up of its people and the people of Sac support its “old and cherishables” and don’t support its “old and no-longer-good” and need some “worthy contenders” (which – ahem – may one day achieve CoolDMZ’s coveted “old and cherishable” status).
Hmmm … what would happen if this city turned its back on the old and “cherishable” of the journalism landscape? Looks like a certain snarky blog could be a classic in the making …

Sure, fine, nice point. Well, back to me. I see what started as an “interesting discussion” at Heckasac devolved into a “bash CoolDMZ” session around 2:46 pm! What have I done to deserve such treatment?

Duh. You stole my “Sac Been,” tried to disguise it with parens. (in a HEADLINE!), and didn’t give me credit, all after snarkifying my azz. Just don’t try to squirtify(TM) anyone and we’ll be “cool.”
