Big props from the Sac Bee today for prominent local bloggers Jason of Eyes of Argus and John of Uneasy Rhetoric, two favorites of this blogger. Also mentions the Rag, as the word “snarky” is dropped in the first sentence and we’re listed as part of the wide variety of area blogs. Thanks, readers and commenters, for keeping The Sac Rag going!
I think the most important part of that article is the quote from Elk Grove Mayor Rick Soares: “I really don’t have time for Internet chat rooms where people trade conspiracy theories back and forth.” Classic!
What’s the deal with snarky? Did you copyright the word? It’s a word I’ve been familliar with all my life and I’m confused as to sacrag’s connection/obsession with it.
Please make sure any answers posted here are snarky. Thanks.

I stole it from Television Without Pity, where they drop it like it is very warm to the touch.

Oh, the word was around long before Sac Rag, but they took it, chewed it up, digested it, and made it their own. At least as far as Sacramento is concerned.

Actually, an original draft of the Declaration of Independence shows that Jefferson originally penned “Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Snarkiness.” Little known fact.

gee thanks John, now we’re not only going to get falsely accused of overusing the word, but of claiming to have coined it also.

No, no, no, no. I’m not accusing you of thinking you invented “snarkiness.” Just making it your own, which is a good thing!
