Does anybody know when Opa! Opa! is planning to open open? Ha. Also, is anybody in need of a cooking job there?

Heh. I ran that joke into the ground weeks ago. But I didn’t do it online, so it probably didn’t really happen.
Anyway, I heard a rumor that they may be opening tomorrow. I’m looking forward to it.

Google is still working out the kinks on the technology for searching private offline conversations, or I would have attributed that joke to you.

I see a sign in front that says “Now Open, 11AM-9PM” so I’m guessing that the tabouli is flowing.

Well, I’m no sac-eats, but I must share that I went there today for lunch and it was great. It’s much like Jacks in its format – cafeteria line with yummy choices including mac & cheese (for kids…) but a little cheaper. Average sandwich was $6. It had everything you’d expect plus some really interesting salads, but no dessert. Not even baklava! Not to fear: it has a separate shop that will just sell dessert, set to open by the end of this month. That part is called “sweeties.” I’m looking forward to it.
