Power to the People

Cooldmz was happy to report that his travel plans were not delayed this morning at Sacramento International Airport in light of recent security restrictions placed on all air travel. With some proper prior planning, the wait at Terminal 2 was fewer than 5 minutes. In fact, the wait was much longer at the Pyramid Brewery kiosk! This goes to show you, of course, that when faced with adversity we humans can rise to the occasion and go with the flow! As long as the “flow” is coming from a beer tap…at 6am…on a weekday.

  1. I was lucky enough to be flying out to the happiest place on earth ™ Friday morning and can confirm that the delays weren’t too bad.

Here’s what I learned this weekend:

    1. The best place to get Breakfast at Terminal A is the wok place. Eggs, Bacon, Toast for 3.99. It was fresh and tasty.

    2. People will complain about anything. Actual complaints overheard this weekend “The fireworks don’t need to be that bright” “You should warn people about those popsicles. They are too cold. My toungue got stuck.”

    3. Faking a disability is a good way to avoid lines at Disneyland. I saw a woman with a cast on riding around on one of those electric scooter thingies that you can get from the park. They have prime seating reserved for the fireworks shows, parades and other big tickets so if you fake a gimp, you can just roll on up and enjoy the show while the rest of the schlubs fight the crowds. BTW the woman’s cast was on her wrist.

    4. Something about Disneyland makes normally annoying teenagers behave themselves… It’s like an episode of Twilight Zone.

    5. The attention to detail at Disneyland surpasses any other business in the world.
