I just heard on KFBK that a national propane company has named Sacramento the #1 city for barbecuing. It seems that we go through more propane tanks than just about anywhere else, and our warm summer nights are favorable for grilling up some goodness. While not a huge fan of cooking, I do enjoy me some quality time babysitting the gas grill, taking the time to cook the tri-tip on a low-medium temp for the better part of the early evening, continually flipping it every 15 minutes or so, all while enjoying an ice cold Sierra Nevada or Corona.
Last summer, Sac-Eats and I experimented with grilling up some treasures from the farmer’s market, including tree-ripened peaches and other summer fruits, as well as wedges of iceburg lettuce topped with bleu cheese dressing.
Share some of your fave bbq grub goodness here, por favor.

it’s like lemon juice, Worchestershire, olive oil, thyme in some combo. The book says to use it for fish, which would be great, but i use it on chicken and it is fabulous.
