Fadipe out at CBS13

Charlotte FadipeSam McManis blogs today that CBS13’s Charlotte Fadipe will be leaving the station at the end of the month. Those of us who enjoyed her lilting accent will miss her. Some background on Fadipe, which is also on her bio page but I never really heard before:

A former British Broadcasting Company (BBC) reporter who was educated at Oxford and earned a master’s degree in communication at UC Berkeley…

Wow, no offense to Charlotte, but how did she get stuck at CBS13? I guess she’s a holdover from before the Sam and Pallas era began. And what a dark day that was…

McManis quotes CBS13’s VP as saying “I believe she wanted to get out of TV news.” Does that mean CBS13 will kind of feel like the wife whose husband divorces her and turns… nevermind.

  1. i could not be happier that she is leaving…now we just need sam shane, brandi hitt, pallas hupe, ….et al to leave as well and shut the whole place down. maybe treat it like an ebola outbreak and fill the place with concrete just to be sure. and what’s with mark s allen dumping on kcra about having tennis rather than news…i mean come on…mark s allen has never informed me of a damn thing worth thinking about. perhaps fadipe was good before she came to 13…but even bush went to yale so oxford doesn’t mean anything to me…idiots are everywhere. hey there’s one!

  2. It’s always sad to see a familar face to go…Like a Elissa Lynn former News10 Meteorologist from ’96-’06. And of course the one and only Marcy Valenzuela now in Arizona. At lease Charlotte will still have connections in Sacramento!

  3. Fadipe is clearly overqualified to be working at KOVR. She was a holdover from the “Paul&Jen” era and doesn’t fit in with the dumbed-down news product now coming from CBS’s West Sacramento television compound. I wish her good luck in finding work with a respectable news outlet… if there is such a thing left on this planet.

  4. This may be old news but Charlotte has surfaced in San Jose – NBC11 – as weekend news reporter. I’ve only seen her a couple of times but so far she is impressive.
