Who Wants to be a Millionaire? THIS GUY!!!

Which is why you’ll see me at the “Who Wants to be a Millionaire?” auditions at Jackson Rancheria on Monday, June 23 at 7am. Click here for more details.

And while I’m up in Jackson, I might stop at some of my favorite daytrip spots.

Thanks to Lisa Heyamoto for hipping me to this event.

  1. FYI to our readers: Stickie, Sac-Eats, and I will be road-tripping to Jackson tomorrow for the audition. We should know by this time tomorrow if we’ll be on the show or not!

I just read online that there’s the option to audition for a special Halloween week. Dare I show up in my Snow White costume, or would there be possible Disney trademark infringements?

  2. UPDATE: Sac-Eats, RunnerGirl, Stickie, and our friend (non-‘ragger) Bill each passed the written test. Sac-Eats, in fact, passed both the special movie test and the regular test. (We think that the movie test required a high score, as we compared answers afterward and can’t figure out where we went wrong.)

From the written test, we had four hours to kill until the interview portion, so we grabbed breakfast at a cute place called Thomi’s in Sutter Creek, then headed back to the Jackson Rancheria Casino to hang out prior to the interview portion.

Each person was called to chat with a show representative for a minute or two, and of the 60 or so people in our group, about 15-20 of us were then interviewed on camera for about 4-5 minutes each. Sac-Eats and I were each part of this process.

We think that there were three written test sections with about 300 people in our initial group, narrowed down to the 50-60 in our group who passed the written test. Our friend who was in the session after ours reported similar figures.

We should know more details within a few weeks.

  3. Thanks for the info! I was there today and passed the written test. I feel like the producer liked me well enough, too. It was a fun and interesting day!

But I have a question for you…if they didn’t call me for the video interview, should I pretty much forget about getting into the contestant pool? Did you hear anything about why some people got interviewed on camera?

At first I thought it might have been the people who passed both the movie test and the general knowledge test, but now I know that isn’t the case.

    Enlighten me!

  4. Congrats SE and RG! I’ll keep my fingers crossed. BTW, Eileen and I really enjoyed Sac Comedy Spot Friday eve. We are looking forward to the air conditioning though.
