A short road trip out to the Jackson Rancheria Casino & Hotel will, once again, giving us the opportunity to try out for a nationally syndicated game show.
Three weeks ago, a few of us tried out for Who Wants to be a Millionaire, and I received my postcard yesterday saying that I’m officially in the contestant pool.
Next Friday, the Jeopardy! Brain Bus will be pulling into town (at least this one won’t require a 4am wake up time!)

Rumor has it that RunnerGirl won between $1 and $1,000,000 during her Millionaire filming. I hope that she at least got a year’s supply of Rice-a-Roni, the San Francisco Treat and some Turtle Wax.

While I can’t tell you about Millionaire, I can tell you that I made it 62 miles into my 100 mile run yesterday & dropped due to a pretty bad groin pull that has me pretty much unable to walk right now or lift up my right foot/leg at all.
I pulled it at mile 55, then hobbled over hill and dale to the next aid station (for those of you familiar with the area, I was approaching Horseshoe Bar when it happened, then I dropped at Twin Rocks in Granite Bay.)
I was one of about 40-50% of the field who dropped. It was actually nice to come home to my own bed instead of running all night. So, at least I did a 100K — good enough for me.
