This is American Craft Brew Week, so wrap it up with the biggest brewfest in the Sac area all year. This Saturday is the 10th Annual West Coast Brew Fest. Several changes will happen this year to make it, are you ready? —-> The Best West Coast Brew Fest yet!!!! (You weren’t ready for that, were you?)
First, the nitty gritty. 60 breweries pouring more than 120 beers from 1-5pm. No tokens, just a glass, you, and beer ’till they run out or you are cut off, baby. $25 for advance tickets, $30 at the gate. Food, music, sun and fun at Miller Park, which will help to fight the hot forecast with heritage oaks and the cool breeze that cuts up the Sacramento River. Of course, carpooling, walking, biking, public transport, taxis or designated driving is highly encouraged.
Next, the improvements and specials for this year:
First, the best news. Will call will open at Noon to virtually guarantee admission at 1:00 for advance ticket buyers. This is a huge improvement over past years when the line would delay admission for a half hour or more. My recommendation is to beat the crowds, show up early and have a picnic to layer your gut before you drink a gallon of beer.
The stage and sound system this year is bigger, better and centrally located this year to provide a soundtrack for the fest rather than being an afterthought on one side of the party. Aroarah and Shakedown will perform.
VIP tickets are available for $95. This gives you admission at Noon with a commemorative 14oz mug, a BBQ lunch, T-shirt, a VIP tasting with brewers, and more. Only 100 VIP tickets will be sold, which makes this a great deal, especially if you want to support the Make-a-Difference Project.
Finally, this years’s celebrity beer pourer will be the one, the only Sac-Eats! Ladies, be calm!
