Peet’s coupon gets technical

I came across this “buy one, get one free” coupon for Peet’s coffee today and was impressed with this redemption note:

You can print this coupon or show it on your mobile device in the store.

I won’t have a chance today, but please let me know if anyone is successful showing their mobile device to a Peet’s barista.

Oh, and check out the many exceptions/exclusions.

Anything below the stereo and on this side of the bicentennial glasses. Anything between the ashtrays and the thimble. Anything in this three inches right in here in this area. That includes the Chiclets, but not the erasers.

Enjoy.

  1. Last time they had this promotion (back in October or November of last year) I noticed the same line on their coupon and tired it out by showing the coupon on my BlackBerry. The girl at the Alhambra store looked at me funny but accepted the coupon, and the Mars Building store had no issues accepting it. Try it out, it works!

  2. Yeah- but they take your phone and shove it under the register drawer! That’s BS man! They gotta have like 40, 50 phones under there! You know they just sell them on ebay the next day…

  3. When I worked at Round Table in high school, our menu said, “we accept competitor coupons.” We had one savvy customer who figured out that he could write “$2 off” on a napkin and we would honor it (because there was an appropriate button on the cash register).
