Is it just me, or did this week go FAST? It’s time once again for Right Awn Friday!
There’s been a lot of negativity in the news this week. It seems like the new year has brought us a lot of crime and controversy. However, let us not forget those people in this city who are trying to use their limited resources, ambition, and even more limited talent to make a difference in the world.
So who will get the shout out this week? Get your Right Awn fists ready, and find out right after this break…
Ladies and Gents, I present to you local American Idol hopefuls Matthew ?Wolfie? Paulson of Elk Grove (above in the picture), and John Williams of Sacramento (below in the picture), who put themselves on the national stage to show the world the best that Sacramento has to offer!
Matthew, Elk Grove’s self proclaimed clone of Clay Aiken, didn’t quite make it through. But, he did get called “hideous” and “gratuitous” (or did he?), so there’s gotta be some potential there somewhere. Clay may wish he was invisible, but Wolfie, dude, you keep on keepin’ on!
On the other hand, air force man John Williams is also one to note, even if he couldn’t quite hold one. Not only did he contribute to the dramatic Simon Cowell walk out, but he got through to Hollywood for gettin’ on down with a remix and ripping off his shirt. That, somehow, sounds about right for someone from Sacramento.
Matthew and John, thanks for putting Sacramento on the map. The world has taken notice, and you’ve both inspired us to reach for the stars. For that, we put both hands in the air and give ya each a solid… RIGHT AWN!

I only wish this Sacramento Idol could have competed:
