Much like LL Cool J, Right Awn! Friday has become something like a phenomenon. And you know what else? Like P.Diddy back when he was Puff Daddy, we won’t stop because, indeed, we can’t stop.
We’ve weathered the storm, fellow Raggers, and we’re pressing on because gosh darn it, Sacramento, you’ve done good!
Now, unlike R. Kelly, take your keys out of the ignition, and find out who gets the big shout out this week…
Sometimes, you just gotta hand it to Sacramento. Stuff happens here that you just wouldn’t expect to happen anywhere else.
Props this week goes to the Del Paso Heights resident who singlehandedly brought thieves to justice. Yes, singlehandedly, because after the robber knocked over a store and fled:
Around the corner, officers spotted two suspects sitting in a parked reddish Hyundai. The resident had earlier taken the keys out of the ignition and called police, angry his driveway was blocked, Marshall said.
Yeah you can rob a store, but don’t be blocking my driveway. Notice how I didn’t exploit the unwittingly part of this story? Sure, some of you will enjoy piling on this dude, but not me…no, the Sac Rag is all about results…how you get there is up to you. This is the “power to the people” attitude that exemplifies what Right Awn! Friday is about. So, join me in saluting this Del Paso Heights resident by taking your car keys in your fist, and raising it in the air. Dude, RIGHT AWN!
10 Points to Mr. Driveway Owner.
2 Points to LL Cool J.
1 Point to Hyundai for making a car that needs keys.
No points to Puffy Diddy or R “U 18” Kelly.

Right Awn indeed, though I don’t get why the driveway owner didn’t just move the car if it was in his way and he had the keys. I don’t see what help it was to him simply to take the keys with the car still sitting there. True story: I parked my car in someone’s spot in San Francisco (idiotic, I know – I was much younger and there were crepes involved) and the owner slashed all four of my tires. Ouch. At least in Sacramento they just take your keys and call the police.
