Today, we’re bringing you a double whammy (RIP with big bucks, Peter Tomarken), because not only is it Right Awn! Friday, but it’s St. Patrick’s Day too. And, not only do both bring us great joy this Friday, but both also give us reason to see green.
So, here’s a little story to tell your buddies at the bar, while you’re partaking of St. Patty’s Day festivities…
Now, we all are quite aware of the litigious society in which we live. People sue people for anything and everything. But, have you heard the one where the guy from Lodi sues himself?
A Lodi man is suing the city for driving a dump truck into his car.
Only thing is, he was the city employee driving the truck.
Lodi officials denied Curtis Gokey’s $3,600 claim for the December accident because he was–in essence–suing himself.
So he and his wife, Rhonda, decided to file a new claim under her name.
Rhonda Gokey’s claim is for 1,200 dollars more than Curtis’. She says she’s not as nice as her husband.
Curtis Gokey, you are no longer master of your own legal domain. And, if it doesn’t fit, you must acquit. But while you’re trying that driving glove on in court to see if it fits, take some time out to Right Awn! yourself. You’ve earned it!
