I was riding along the Garden Highway this morning when I noticed some temporary style fencing along the river side. I quickly discovered why this fencing was installed (excuse the poor photo quality as my “smartphone” is anything but).
I even noticed a dog herding the weed eaters. There were so many, too, it was fun to watch. Anyone know what’s going on here? Just some inexpensive weed control? Or is it?

Ha ha! I passed this last week and today. I was looking all over for what the heck is going on. My already precarious garden highway bicycle commute has been more dangerfied with the addition of an electric fence! Yes, the flimsy fence is electrified.

Thanks for the heads up, Junior. Not that I would challenge that fence to a duel, but you never know. How did you find out it was powered up?

The fences were gone as were the sheep when I rode home yesterday afternoon.

Still there as of 7am. They have just moved them up (West?) a bit. Closer to Truxel.

Looks like they’ve settled into the overflow area just west of Northgate.
