Vote & Vax comes to Sacramento (maybe)

The national Vote & Vax campaign will be offering up flu vaccinations at two Sacramento locations on Tuesday, November 4th. These are sponsored by the Sacramento County Immunization Program.

Sounds all well and good, right? Sure, unless you want more information or some details…

Update: The Sacramento Bee reports that the second clinic (Capital Christian Center) is being sponsored by the “local NBC affiliate” and that the charge there is $30 (it’s $10 at the Rancho Cordova City Hall location). Still not showing up on the Vote & Vax site.

The locations are Rancho Cordova City Hall and Capital Christian Center in Sacramento (via the KCRA link). I could not find the latter location on the Vote & Vax clinic finder though nor on the County Web site.

Then there is the issue of the cost. The County Web site offers up this tidbit:

There will be a $10.00 charge for the flu shot. It will be provided to individuals 50 years and older, healthcare workers, pregnant women, persons who are chronically ill, caregivers or household contacts of high-risk individuals, and children 6 months – 18 years of age. Pneumonia shots will be offered for $35.00, Tetanus and Tetanus with Pertussis shots will be offered for $10.00.

And you thought it was tough getting the facts out of the Candidates.
