Midtown Holiday Celebration Saturday

On Saturday the Midtown Business Association is hosting its annual holiday celebration, featuring tons of fun events for Sacramentans of all ages and interests. Highlights include the IndieSacramento trunk show and craft bazaar at 24th and J all day featuring crafting and live music, an open house viewing of the Governor’s Mansion renovation, and a Ricky Berger and Sac Rag favorite Daisy Spot show at Bows & Arrows at 6pm. Tons of stuff for you crafter types, and kiddie activities all day at the Mosaic Salon parking lot at 27th and Jay. Here is a walking map for the event. (PNG image)

I can’t get a read on whether some of the other activities may have a cover charge, as it were, so YMMV but most of this seems like free activities or nominal donation fees.

In addition, the MBA is seeking some help:

We are seeking talented cookie bakers to donate cookies for distribution at the Holiday Tree Lighting at Sutter’s Fort State Historic Park at 5:30 pm on Sat Dec 6th. Please take all cookie donations to Loftworks at 1050 20th Street (on the corner of J and 20th) this Saturday between 3pm-4:45pm.

ALSO… due to unforeseen circumstances our choir had to cancel, so we are seeking talented musicians to perform at the 2220 J Street courtyard at any time between 11am and 5:15pm this Saturday Dec 6. Performers are welcome to bring their promotional materials to distribute to admirers. Please contact MBA at 442-1500 ASAP if you are interested. Saxophonists, singers, flutists, or similar acoustic musicians would be perfect for this space!

I guess if you’re interested in helping, you should contact MBA at 916-442-1500 or by email at mba-at-mbasac.com.
