Today Sacramento State is hosting a commencement ceremony for this year’s graduates of the Master’s Program in Public Policy and Administration. I finished this program a few years ago and still consider it one of the best investments I’ve ever made.
If you work in the public sector, or in the political or nonprofit arenas, or if you aspire to work in these fields, I’d recommend giving this program a close look. The training I received in this program marvelously strengthened my skillset as a wandering politico and generally opinionated person.
Plus, the friendships I made with students and faculty along the way have been really awesome (as opposed to “priceless,” which is what I originally typed before hurling a saccharine boot and deleting).
So maybe check it out if that’s your thing.
Can you do this program in the evening?

Yep. Most classes are 6 to 9 pm during the week.
A few courses are Saturday classes that take place during the day, but I think faculty tries to rotate them, so a Saturday course this semester will be a regular weeknight course next semester.
Of course, it’s been a while since I did this, so it might have changed.
